How Flux 3 AI collects, uses, shares, and protects personal data

2026/07/23

1. Scope and Controller

This Privacy Policy explains how Flux 3 AI ("Flux 3 AI," "we," "us," or "our") handles personal data when you use flux-3.ai and our AI image, video, editing, asset, payment, and support services (the "Services"). Flux 3 AI is the controller of personal data described here unless a notice says otherwise.

This Policy should be read with our Terms of Service and Cookie Policy. It does not govern third-party websites or services that act under their own privacy notices.

2. Information We Collect

Depending on how you use the Services, we collect:

  • Account and identity data: name, email address, avatar, account ID, email verification status, role, and linked Google or GitHub account identifiers.
  • Authentication and security data: password hash, session and verification tokens, IP address, browser or device information, login history, API-key metadata, and account restriction or abuse records.
  • AI content and task data: prompts, instructions, model and parameter choices, uploaded images and videos, masks, reference assets, task inputs, generated Outputs, favorites, file metadata, task status, error records, and technical request and response data.
  • Payment and credit data: payment customer, checkout, subscription, invoice, product and price identifiers; payment status and billing period; plan, purchase, credit balance, expiration, consumption, reversal, and transaction history. Payment providers process full card or payment-account details; we do not store full card numbers or security codes.
  • Usage and technical data: pages or features used, clicks and navigation, referring URL, timestamps, approximate location derived from IP, browser, operating system, device identifiers, diagnostics, cookies, and similar technology data where enabled.
  • Communications: contact-form content, support correspondence, feedback, newsletter status, and email delivery or engagement information.

We receive information directly from you, automatically from your browser or device, from authentication and payment services, and from systems used to process tasks and return results.

3. How and Why We Use Information

We use personal data to:

  • create accounts, authenticate users, and provide the requested Services;
  • receive Inputs, run AI tasks, retry or route tasks, store Outputs, and maintain task and asset history;
  • calculate costs, charge and reverse credits, process purchases and renewals, prevent duplicate transactions, and maintain billing records;
  • operate customer support, send service, verification, security, billing, and policy notices, and respond to requests;
  • personalize language and settings and remember recent workflow state;
  • monitor reliability, debug errors, measure performance, develop features, and understand use of the Services;
  • detect fraud, abuse, prohibited content, security incidents, and violations of our Terms; and
  • comply with law, enforce agreements, exercise or defend legal claims, and protect users, Flux 3 AI, and the public.

Where applicable law requires a legal basis, we rely on: performance of our contract with you; our legitimate interests in operating, securing, improving, and supporting the Services; your consent for optional analytics, marketing, or similar technologies where required; and compliance with legal obligations. You may withdraw consent at any time without affecting earlier lawful processing.

4. AI Processing and Your Content

To perform a task, Flux 3 AI processes relevant prompts, parameters, uploaded media, and other Inputs through the technical systems used to provide the Services. This processing may produce task status, diagnostic data, and temporary result links. We may transfer Outputs to object storage for continued access.

AI tasks may incidentally process personal data contained in a photo, video, prompt, or Output, including faces, voices, or other likenesses. Only upload that data when you have a lawful basis and the required notices and permissions. Do not use Flux 3 AI for highly sensitive or regulated data unless you have assessed the risks and determined that the Services are appropriate.

We use task content to fulfill your request, maintain your history, secure and debug the Services, provide support, and enforce our Terms. We do not sell your Inputs or Outputs.

5. When We Share Information

We disclose information only as reasonably necessary for the purposes above:

  • Technical infrastructure: vendors that provide computing, database, hosting, content-delivery, and object-storage services needed to operate Flux 3 AI.
  • Payments: Stripe or Creem for checkout, recurring billing, tax or fraud controls, payment status, and customer portals.
  • Authentication: Google and GitHub when you choose social sign-in or link an account.
  • Email, newsletter, and support: Resend and, where enabled, Crisp or similar support tools.
  • Security and analytics: Cloudflare Turnstile and analytics providers that are enabled for the deployment, which may include Google Analytics, PostHog, Microsoft Clarity, Vercel, Umami, Plausible, OpenPanel, Seline, Ahrefs, or DataFast. Optional technologies are subject to consent where required.
  • Operational notifications: Discord or Feishu may receive limited purchase or system-operation details when the applicable integration is enabled.
  • Professional advisers and authorities: advisers, auditors, insurers, courts, regulators, law enforcement, or other parties where reasonably necessary to comply with law, protect rights and safety, or handle claims.
  • Business transfers: a buyer, investor, affiliate, or successor involved in a financing, merger, reorganization, sale, or insolvency, subject to appropriate confidentiality protections.

We may also share information at your direction or with your consent. We do not sell personal data for money. We do not knowingly share personal data for cross-context behavioral advertising. If our practices change, we will update this Policy and provide choices required by law.

6. International Transfers

Flux 3 AI and its providers may process information in countries other than where you live. Those countries may have different data-protection laws. Where required, we use an approved transfer mechanism or other appropriate safeguards and assess relevant provider protections. Contact us for more information about safeguards applicable to your data.

7. Retention and Deletion

We retain information only for as long as reasonably necessary for the purposes described above, including to provide your account and content history, complete transactions, maintain security, comply with tax and accounting rules, resolve disputes, and enforce agreements. Retention depends on the data and context:

  • account, task, and asset records are generally kept while your account is active or until you delete them, subject to the exceptions below;
  • session records expire under our authentication settings, while security logs may be retained longer when needed to investigate abuse;
  • billing, invoice, payment, and credit-ledger records may be retained for the period required by financial, tax, fraud-prevention, and legal obligations;
  • support and legal records are kept while needed to address the matter; and
  • backups, processor records, and cached copies may persist for a limited period after deletion and are isolated or overwritten in the normal cycle.

You can delete your account in settings. Database records linked to the account are scheduled for deletion, but legal records and media copies in object storage or other processing systems may not be removed immediately. Deleting an item from the visible asset library may initially hide or soft-delete its record rather than erase every stored copy. Contact support if you need deletion of uploaded or generated media, and we will process the request subject to legal and technical limitations.

8. Your Choices and Rights

Depending on your location, you may have rights to access, correct, delete, or receive a copy of personal data; restrict or object to processing; withdraw consent; opt out of marketing, sale, sharing, or targeted advertising; and appeal a denied request. You may also lodge a complaint with your local data-protection authority.

You can update profile information, cancel renewal, manage newsletter status, and delete your account through the Services. You can unsubscribe from marketing emails using the link provided or account settings. See our Cookie Policy for browser and consent controls.

To exercise another right, email support@flux-3.ai. We may verify your identity and authority before acting. We will not discriminate against you for exercising a privacy right. Rights may be limited where an exception applies, such as protecting another person's rights or retaining legally required billing records.

9. Security

We use reasonable administrative, technical, and organizational safeguards designed to protect information, including authenticated access, access controls, input validation, webhook verification where configured, and restricted service credentials. No online service or storage method is completely secure. You are responsible for using a strong, unique password and protecting your account and downloaded files. Notify us promptly if you suspect unauthorized access.

10. Children

The Services are not directed to anyone under 18, and we do not knowingly collect personal data from children. Do not submit a child's personal data or likeness unless you have lawful authority and the processing is appropriate. If you believe a child has provided personal data, contact us so we can investigate and take appropriate action.

11. Changes to this Policy

We may update this Policy as the Services, providers, or laws change. We will change the date above and provide additional notice of material changes where required. Your continued use is subject to the version in effect, but we will seek consent when law requires it for a new use.

12. Contact

For privacy questions or requests, email support@flux-3.ai or use our contact page.
